The Circumcision of Christ: Why we can say we "are saved".

The Circumcision of Christ:

Note! If you are reading this after the Rapture of the Church then this is no longer in effect.

In the above chart you see the body of a Believer in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If you zoom in you'll see that this body has a dark line and a red line outlining and paralleling each other. The Red line is inside the Dark line because the Red line represents the soul of the believer - the part we can't see with our eyes; but the Dark line is the body - the part we can see with our eyes.

When we say Believer, it must be pointed out what we mean by that for this world is a battle-ground for words such as this. A Believer believes that Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh ...

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
And, to provide an example of what I was saying about the battle zone; you should look up this verse in the new Bibles (you know, the ones that the Madison Ave execs are hired to sell you) and you'll see that they've taken "God" out in this verse. Why do they do that? Oh, they claim 'because its not in the oldest and the bestest' (sick). But whom do you think wants God out of a verse like that?

Who could it be?

The text for the above chart comes from a little known passage of this day. Its found in Col 2:

Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

What Was Circumcision?

We need to go back now to a type in the Old Testament which was given to Abraham. Abraham is said to be the father of circumcision in ...

Ro 4:9 ¶ Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

Here we see a Biblical pattern for things later to come ...

Ro 1:19 ¶ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Just as God has showed us His nature in ... nature; so too does He show us the spiritual truth by giving us a pattern in the Old Testament which is revealed to us in the New Testament.  As Peter put it ...

2Pe 1:19 ¶ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

So then the circumcision that was given to Abraham was a type that matches how the Believer is saved.

How was it a type?

  1. In that faith was first and then the circumcision took place. Exactly as in the NT Circumcision of Christ.
  2. It separated those that were and those that were not.
  3. It was visible but not seen! ie - you couldn't tell just by looking at someone in a public forum who was and who was not. This is similar to standing next to someone in church who is not born again but yet who can fake it. You can't see who is born again!
  4. It was done on the 8th day to symbolize a new creature (8 is the number of new beginnings) as it is the seal of a new creature in Christ!

Are Ye Saved!

What this means is that when the body sins (and its "when" not "if") that sin is separated by the Holy Ghost -- who baptizes you the moment you believe with the Blood of Jesus Christ!

1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
It not only cleans us the moment we believe but it puts at bay, any future sin by putting the Holy Ghost (remember, that a Ghost is a Spirit in a bodily form) in-between our soul and our body (Adamic). It therefore is the literal fulfillment of ...

Ps 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Furthermore, this is the whole reason Paul can say to the Ephesians while he's in jail at Rome ...
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

How is that Paul can say with confidence to the saints at Ephesus that they "are saved" when, if they could lose so great a salvation, he couldn't say that.
And here we go again: Do you know what the new Bibles say here?

(CEV)  You were saved by faith in God, ...
No, this one's way off. You're not saved by faith - you're saved by Grace!  And its not "were" its "are"!!!  This is exactly what I'm hearing on the internet today:

(ISV)  For by such grace you have been saved through faith.
(NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
(NKJV)  For by grace you have been saved through faith,

Those are some of the most popular Bibles in today's Apostate Churches. The ISV is even given a stamp of approval by Chuck Missler, one of the most popular teachers today.  These are all making salvation a past tense, uncomfortable kind of thing, and not a perfect present tense joy!!!

No wonder the kids are acting the way they are today. They weren't brought up reading the King James (and neither was I but I didn't read the Bible at all) and know intrinsically that they are saved

You see how we can say that we are saved? We don't have a moment to moment state of salvation - we have one that is as Eternal as Jesus Christ!

The Earnest of the Spirit

2Co 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

God has sealed us against even our own flesh. We can not even hurt ourselves no matter how often, much or desire to sin. God has given us a foolproof way to be saved, both at the time of our deliverance and at the time we await to be translated unto Him ...

1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 ¶ Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. I like how the chart visually shows the "sealing" of our soul. And the Holy Ghost in us is the deposit which guarantees that now our body will also at last be redeemed and glorified. (2 Cor.1: 22 "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts".) The good ole 100% correct KJV uses "earnest" in the sense of a pledge 3 times - the GOD number. (The word earnest is still used that way - such as earnest money being required up front in a real estate transaction.)
